Manitoba prairie winters are long and cold and before the internet with only a few channels on TV what was one to do?   I bought cook books and watched Julie Child and Jacques Pepin on PBS.  Cooking became  a passion and fueled with those ideas SAIT eventually made it a reality.  After a few trips to the Bistros and Brasseries of Paris, New York and our own Montreal, my love for classic French cuisine was fully ignited.
